Reports to: Health Director
About the Role:
We are looking for an Executive Assistant (EA) to support the Health Director and the Board. The EA is responsible for coordinating administrative duties, maintaining information systems, tracking documentation and action items, and supporting financial and operational processes for the Health Director and the Board.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
• Ensure that reports, travel claims, digital filing, data, records, Board minutes, and other information are maintained, filed, and organized.
• Coordinate Board and other meetings, including scheduling, agenda preparation, virtual setup (Microsoft Teams/Google Meet), minute-taking, and tracking action items.
• Provide logistical and technical support for Board meetings and presentations.
• Provide backup reception and general office administration support as required.
• Draft reports, briefing notes and other documents as directed.
• Develop and maintain systems to track tasks, timelines, and departmental workflows.
• Ensure systems are in place to maintain confidentiality.
• Available to work a flexible work schedule including evenings and weekends (when required).
• Be the lead for Accreditation, OH&S, distribute and compile surveys.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a fast-paced administrative environment.
• Experience managing records, documentation systems, and confidential information.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, and SharePoint.
• Excellent written, verbal, and transcription skills.
• Strong organizational, coordination and time management skills.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Formal office administration training is an asset, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Additional Requirements:
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license and clean driver abstract.
• Satisfactory Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector screening.
• Knowledge and understanding of Haida culture.
• Trauma informed.
• Preference will be given to Haida candidates as per Section 41 of the Human Rights Code.

Reports to: Maternal Child Health Manager
About the Role:
The Family Support Worker works as part of the Maternal Child Health team to ensure a safe and supportive environment for all clients while delivering programming, home visits, and outreach services. The role is responsible for developing and implementing curriculum and program activities, including postpartum support and home visiting. The Family Support Worker plans, facilitates, and evaluates all aspects of programming, including daily activities, events, visits, and community outings for program participants.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
· Prepare, facilitate, and supervise maternal child health and family support programs.
· Provide direct client support during programs and related activities.
· Take attendance and maintain accurate program participation records.
· Complete required documentation, including incident reports and program records.
· Maintain confidentiality and secure handling of all client information and records in accordance with the Niislaa Naay Confidentiality Policy, including sharing information only with consent or as legally required.
· Build and maintain trusting relationships with families, demonstrating engagement with children, parents, and guardians.
· Advocate for families and support their access to appropriate services and supports.
· Support safe, inclusive, and appropriate recreational and social activities for families.
· Promote and model a healthy personal lifestyle.
· Maintain a safe environment for participants, self, and others in accordance with Occupational Health and Safety Policy.
· Support positive group dynamics, including assisting with conflict resolution among participants.
· Attend and participate in meetings as required.
· Perform other related duties as required.
Additional Requirements:
· Valid Food Safe Certificate.
· Valid First Aid Level C Certificate.
· Valid Class 5 driver’s license.
